When starting my force 125 when I push in the to activate the choke the choke engages and stops the engine from cranking. And if I push in on the key first the starter won’t function. Why is the choke interfering with the starter

My force 125 has started a new issue. When starting if I push the key in to engage the electric choke the starter will not crank , and while I am cranking the engine the choke won’t engage.

Cute new title, there are two issues. You duplicated the original post and you haven't read our rules.

Hookup a meter to the choke and see what the voltage does when the choke button is pressed.

If I am cranking the engine and push the key in I get no voltage at all

I took the choke off the ignition switch and put it on a separate switch and they both function properly. Wouldn’t that point toward a issue with the ignition switch?

Did the motor start with the choke on a separate switch?

I’ll check that switch wiring and to see if maybe it got jumbled up during replacement last year. Thanks for all your help.
