starter motor removal

How do I remove the starter from my Tigershark 1100. When trying to start, the starter just spins and doesn't engage.

First you buy the manual, then you ask the questions on what you don't understand...............!

Remove the bolts from the back of the starter and pull it straight out. If it doesnt come out easy, gently tap on it. Be careful not to break the end cap (the part that goes in the block), it can cost about $80, and the starter itself is usually around $200.
