It is a 4.3 Chevy engine. Used in thousands of GM vehicles. This starter fits both v-6 and V-8 Chevy engines. Please make sure your starter is rebuilt to marine specs!!!!! Do not under any circumstances use a automotive starter in your boat!!!!

do yourself a favor and upgrade from the large direct drive starter to the new PMGR starters. you can get them new for marine applications for about $90

Ayuh,.... If they have to ask, I couldn't trust them,....

Any starter guy worth his salt, would instantly know it's a chevy based starter,....

I agree with Scott, don't waste time or money on an old style starter . The new PMGR starters are the way to go...... whether for cars ,boats , trucks , they are just so much better
