Re: Starter Test
Have you checked the fuse?
If the fuse is OK.
I'd tackle this on from the other end first which you may have already done. See if the starter is getting power.
Using a test light or a multimeter check to see if power is getting to the starter.
FOR THIS TEST YOU DON?T WANT THE MOTOR TO START. PULL THE SAFETY LANYARD OR TAKE THE SPARK PLUG LEADS OFF the sparkplugs AND GROUND THEM!! Very important to ground the sparkplug wires if you remove them to prevent damage to you ignition system.
Be careful not to touch the positive cable & ground with your hands.
Also keep clear of moving parts as the starter motor may just start working for some odd reason.
May want to run some water to motor for a short time so you don?t run the water pump whilst it is dry.
Connect one end of the test light to ground & the other to the positive stud on the starter. Get someone to turn the key. You should have power &. also be able to hear the solenoid working (A click sound)
If you have power then try the starter.

Using jumper leads. Connect the leads up one at a time so you don?t accidentally touch the ends of the jumper leads together & short out your battery.
Negative lead from negetive battery terminal to body of starter
Then connect the positive jumper lead to positive terminal on battery. Locate the positive stud on the starter. (this will have a heavy wire coming from the solenoid to the starter). Stand back from the motor so you don?t get caught in any moving parts. Now just touch the positive jumper lead to the positive stud for a short time & the starter should turn.
If the starter is OK you will need to look at the wiring again. There are a couple of other things to check but see how you go with these.
Good Luck
