Have any of you purchased any of the model boats shown on the iboats pages?
I was given the grand tour at iboats headquarters a couple of weeks back, and man!...these things are quite a piece of work. They had several on display around the offices..I was impressed with the quality of these works of Art.
Beautiful models....I gotta have one...infact, anyone that likes boats should have one...excellent show pieces!

Do they sell a model of an Alumacraft 16' aluminum utility boat? :D

My boat sucks enough money out of me, I don't need a model canoe to suck another $350 out of me! :)

edit: Why does it censor a dollar amount? That's a little silly I think, especially since I referenced an iBoats product with the price.

If I put a dollar sign in front of or behind the 350, it wasn't showing up. See, like now.. I put the dollar in front...and it's just blank. And if I use the sign instead of the word in this past sentence, my whole post went blank!

I'm not alone.. I stumbled across this thread, and there's a dollar amount missing from it as well(based on reading it)...

Re: Static display model boats/ships

I can tell you from experience that if you buy or build a model with a lot of rigging or tiny detailed parts, you really need to invest in a nice display case. I built a model of the USS Constitution years ago and in no time the rigging was covered in dust which is almost impossible to get off. It's way easier to wipe dust off the top of a glass cabinet!

Those are some very nice models on iboats. Considering how much work went into them, I'm surprised they're that cheap. I saw a replica of the HMS Victory once go for over ten grand!

It came with a case.8)
