Stator ok ! But Trigger Bad ?

had the stator tested all ok i have now been told it could well be the trigger £115 for part <br />could this be true?<br /><br />and also i have been told by the garage that some new plug leads for a mariner 50 91 ish 3cyl<br />will be about £35 each cor blimy gov<br />dose all this sound right to you ??????<br />will it fix the problem or just cost me even more :rolleyes:

If the stator tests OK then the swichbox OR trigger is suspect. Tell them to diagnose and fix it and get it right the 1st time. <br /><br />As far as plug leads go - don't replace them unless they are bad. It's not like a car.<br /><br />Anyone who replaces the stator / trigger / and switchbox is BOUND to fix it - at three times the correct cost.<br /><br />-W

Well it came back as the trigger and i have taken the boat out and its all fine never gone better in fact <br />it was explained to me that they had the prices wrong and did not know that untill the invoice came through to them <br />i had all the leads done £33 for all 3 not £33 for each like i was told plus the trigger was only £60 not £114 <br /><br />hooray!<br />what a result just like to thank all the gave me comments on this and all my other posts<br /><br />thanks very much we got there in the end :)
