it means we will stay in Iraq until the government of Iraq can defend it's self and it's people... and what is wrong with that?

It's a noble idea. Hell, I bought it too back when they first sold it.

But here's the thing...

Iraqis are not Americans. They didn't start their own country with visions of liberty, freedom, and democracy. They don't have generation after generation of history of great sacrifice to keep those freedoms. It's absurd to think we can GIVE them that. They sure as hell won't have the passion to hang onto it if we manage to do so.

I personally don't care if the Iraqi people have liberty and justice for all... I just don't want the radical Muslims to get their hands on the oil to fund their war against us. That IMNSHO is what we are fighting for.

Here is the problem as I see it with Iraq. There are two basic opinons on this

1 cut our losses and run.
This on many of us consider cowardly and we feel will show weakness.And disgrace the men that have died over there. I struggle with this view myself beeing a former Marine.

2 Stay the course and hope it works out. Show our good ole american pride and stubborness. We shall impose our will.
This is my general view however if you keep bashing youre head into a concrete wall no matter how hard you will only get a bigger head ache.

The one thing I dont think anyone considered in this who equasion, is the complete and utter lazziness of the musslim people in general. If they cared about there freedom theyd already had taken over from us. But truth be told if it means work and sacrafise they wont do it. Now I know the predudice coments are coming so go ahead and give them here. But before you do go find a person from that region that isnt muslim for instance. My friend a native of Beruit. family lived there for generations. He and his family are christians and the own a local deli. so I know he has his bias but hes from that region and understands the problems better than most cause hes lived them. He will tell you that 100 muslims will live under 1 rich one just so they dont have to have a job. Its like wellfare is over here except in a religon.

So anyone here dem or rep got anything for a reason better than that.

Same old noise from the crybabybushbashers.Strike up negotiations,put someone else in power,win the war or get out,more American casualties,etc..etc ect.......over and over and over and still no "SPECIFICS" to any of the perpetual whining.But don't feel alone.Your liberal politicians have no specific plan either.It's like being lost at sea on a life boat with 20% of the people aboard complaining about the heat,no water,not enough food,paddling in the wrong direction,etc etc.....yet can offer no specific alternative plans to alieviate the situation.Just more whining and blaming.They want someone else in charge of saving all of us but don't know who or how he will do it.Just that they want change.
