Hello all !!:D, Boat info: 1977 240srv sea ray 235 omc. she steers fine under 10mph but whe i start getting her planed out and up to speed It won't turn to the left... well it will but i have to apply so much force that I'm worried I will break something. Heres the kicker; even though it won't turn left it will turn right with no problems. this steering issues seemed to have started when the boat started taking on water (as the bilge pump started running constantly). Turned out the transom seal was torn. Don't know if the two are related... but that's why I'm asking you guys ;)

Sounds like a quick adjustment of your trim anode is in order. Should be about 1/8 to 1/4 " turned to the port -. Roughly 10 degrees. Adjust it there, run it. Tinker with it until it feels good.
Funny thing about boats - the bow light might be out and it won't go into reverse!!! Anything is possible - does seem strange doesn't it?
Hopefully someone will come along with a better plan.
