John all Detmar steering is obsolete and has been for about 20 years, so you
will have to get a complete new 11 foot steering system.

I guess I will be getting a new system,,,still trying to get the helm out can not find any 3" long 1/4 fine thread bolts to bolt a puller on to get the part the steering wheel bolts too off..........
I need to replace my cable but I have a problem...the # on the cable is DETMAR a99 11ft....does anyone make a cable that will replace this one, the helm works good,and if I to change to a new system looks like I will also have to buy a new steering wheel,this helm does not have a taperd shaft.. not sure if a new unit will bolt in the same hole size,I have not take the helm out yet so not sure what it looks like as far as hole size...the boat is a 1989 hydra-sport bass boat 90hp johnson
