Steering cables

I have an old dual cable (Teleflex) steering system. The outer sheath appears to be in good condition but the steering has gotten stiff over the years. (its not the motor). If I take it loose from the motor, can the inner cables be removed and lubed? I did take them loose at the helm and lubed what I could and that helped a little.

Something like this may work: Looks like it only good for the tube, though.....

web page

Thanks, but that part is OK. I think the problem is the lube inside the sheathing has gotten hard over the years.
