I hope i'm in the right forum...I was at my local boat ramp 2 weeks ago and was pulling my 20' pontoon up to the ramp to wait for a fellow boater to trailer his boat when this guy decided it was his turn to get to the ramp. In the process I had to throw my boat into reverse abruptly, at low tide, and in doing so my motor dug in on something hard and stopped. I had absolutely no steering. When I got the boat home and inspected it more thoroughly, I noticed my prop was bent and when I freed the steering arm from the tilt tube the motor turns freely. Is my steering cable bent? Is there a way to determine that on my own? I am mechanically inclined so any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank You All in advance,
Dewey
