Steering tab question and pull start of V6

Prior to installing hydraulic steering I had about two clicks of left (facing forward) tab adjustment. Now that I have the new steering can I put the tab back to the centre for a neutral effect?

Also, having just got the motor back from fitting a new power pack and a new coil for plug 5, I just had to try a pull start - for no good reason. It worked fine from cold - the day was about 65F. I appear to have stripped one of the 3 tiny nylon wing nuts that hold the fly wheel cover on. They were never really tight from new and so I counted the turns when taking them off. I may have overdone the turns putting them back on. Should be easy to source. Motor is a 135 V6 done 36 hours.

Cheers

Alan

AV,

True, your hydraulic steering will nuetralize torque steer normally felt through the wheel. However, that does not mean it is not still happening.

If your trim tab setting was nuetral for your cable steering, it should remain so for your hydrualic set up.

To test, go to the water and run the rig on plane. Does it track straight with hands off the wheel? If not, you'll have to adjust.
