Have a 19.5 ft Arrow Glass with a DT140 Suzuki 2 stroke. It is a Mid-V with an good size motor. It has set for a year, wihile I rebuilt the fuel and electical systems.
Have started the motor 8-10 times since i had it gone over and a rebuilt lower unit installed. Always on muff's. Should be able to get 30-40 mph.
The steering has gotten harder to move as time has gone on.
This weekend I took the steering apart. Removed the Big bolt on the right side. This is a Tilt/Tube with a cable through it, at the Motor Trim Pivot point.
Took off that bolt, had my brother run the wheel back and forth. Botom line, had rusty water running out of the cable split.
Want to replace it all. Cable, connectors and helm.
My Question is : What would be the best option for a new steering system on this sized boat, with this size motor. With this setup ?
What is Feedback, No Feedback ? How does each react and what is the difference ?
