since my original post.
i pulled the fuel tank, cleaned, new lines and in line filter.
new primer bulb.
pulled out oil tank and replaced with a known good one with fresh oil
replaced the stator, trigger, and power pack
replaced the rectifier.
cleaned carbs, sync n link
checked all grounds for wiring harness, lower unit pressure tested and new oil.
non eth for fuel with Evinrude oil
new primer solenoid
new carb kits
new plugs and wires
i ordered a new key switch
a different engine harness.

starts up in quick start but sounds like its skipping immediately.
once out of qs it still seems to be mis-firing
runs decent on hose,
put it in the water with back pressure it starts loading up
it will take the first initial throttle and then falls on its face and starts to mix it up again
if i can get it on plane its usually on 4 cylinders and at high speed it will start to pick up the lagging cylinders and devlope a high speed mis but will never run on all 6
eventually it will bog to the point i have to limp it back to trailer.
seems to be a little better running when cold.
comp, all between 100-110
changed the stator twice, trigger twice and power pack twice, i want to rule out electrical but my head wont let me. picking up another set of plugs as these are no longer any good
engine shakes under throttle
if i let off throttle and give it a quick snap itll take it for just a second and sound better???if i step on throttle and hold it . well it breaks down
ive replaced the power head also, where do i go?
whats the common dominator?
engine wiring harness, key switch, boat side wiring harness?????
WHAT AM I MISSING HERE???
HELP........PLEASE,
could it still be carburation?
reeds?

Where did the powerhead come from ??------Model # is??----I would pull off a cylinder head for inspection.-----A head gasket is cheaper than all the work / parts tossed at it so far !!----Possibly carburetor bowls are warped ?-----You did not mention water pump impeller , is it new ??

2 motors same issues? lower was done a month ago. fluid and impeller . not running hot at all. i swapped power heads because of this issue, soo????carbs cleaned and kits put in, no bowl warpage from what i can tell laid them flat down with a little light in them . no light coming from bowls..
the two motors have their own carbs on them also not the same carbs.
even on hose it skips
the power head on the boat now is a tx ocean pro 1995
came with a round canon plug harness with tach self check. i put both harnesses on the motors and same thing. so why would two motors do the same thing with different electrical and carbs?
i unhooked the boat harness from motor and started it, sounds and runs the same
i didnt pull a head yet as i didnt think that may be the issue,
ill do that tonight
...idk lol
