Funny you should ask, You just think about who might want to get into your pockets and give them a call, there reply will always be, "Yes you need a permit to do that"!!! Just figure local city, (where residing), county's and state.

Anyone should concider an LLC, (Limited Liability Company), if in business for yourself, that way if you get sued they cant take any of your personal property, only business related. So they would get my boat and tackle and any insurance money but not my house and dog. Oh, I dont have a dog anymore.

Wow, I can't beleive that this got drug up from the sellar!

I might as well give an update while it's here!

I gave up on the guide thing this year, it was fun while it lasted. I broke even for two years but that was not the point to doing it! It was mostly the insurence that killed the project other than messing with my lifestyle. I met some really nice people and some of them I took out this summer just to see them again! It was something that I thought I always wanted to do, Now I can say, "Been there, done that" and don't have to think about it anymore.

LD, That sort of occupation seems to do good down here in South Florida, but it appears to be somewhat on the seasonal side.
I would not have thought so at first considering the weather down here, but after talking to a couple of the local guides, according to them things slow down alot.
