I got mine a week or so ago. What surprised me is that it was $1800. I usually don't qualify for anything when it comes to rebates and such. Probably because I'm an average guy with home, car payemts, mortgage, kids, wife does not work, and I pay rediculous property tax. The kind of guy the Democrats think should be taxed more so it can be given to those who don't work, but still want a house, cars, boats, etc.

Wrong. If you were that kind of guy, you wouldn't be getting a stimulus check at all.

Thats right off their site for checking the status. And its still not in my bank so im getting worried! If you are getting the check mailed dosent it tell you that right here where mine says that it will be in my account? I mean if i was getting a check then it would say that here right? Instead of saying that it will deposit into my account. Im just getting worried cause i need that cash for stuff and i hear everyone talking about their money that they got and i still get nothing. Thanks guys for any info ya got!

We always pay in ... so no direct deposit. Check was to be mailed out on the 9th. Will see if it shows up in the mailbox today...

Unfortunately I don't make enough income (most of mine is passive income) to have "earned" getting back the $600 - so my wife and I will only be getting back a total of $900 - $300 each - me, wife, and youngest daughter). That kind of ticks me off, cause I pay in just like everyone else, but because I was able to save and live off my investments (rentals, stocks, etc) instead of getting a paycheck from someone else, my wife and I are not worthy enough to get the "whole package" back.

They put $1500 in the bank a week ago. BUT.... I just got the letter today stating it would be deposited in the next 6 weeks or something.

They put the $$ in the bank Friday. I got a letter yesterday telling me they would have the $ in the bank by Friday. At least they mailed the letter before the postage rates went up.............

Do you fellas really need that money, or you just want it ?
I don't see how recieving a one time paltry sum of money could have any long term benefits to the country.
It seems to me that we are more interested in stimulating the Asian economies.

I just read this........


The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate.

If we spend that money at K-Mart on clothing, the money will go to China.

If we spend it on petrol it will go to the Arabs, if we purchase a computer it will go to Taiwan.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.

If we purchase useless crap it will go to Korea and none of it will help the economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on women and beer, since these are the only products still produced locally.

The amounts are reduced once you hit a certain income level. Some of the high rollers out there might not get as much as expected.

or none at all. and don't give the argument that people that make that much don't need it or shouldn't be considered because they make too much. more pay = more spending. those that make that much put way more back into the economy than those barely squeaking by and pay a whole lot more in taxes than some make all year.

One big reason why a lot of folks will never see it that way is, there are an aweful lot of "The blind leading the blind".

I don't know how exactly this is going to work for us. We have a newer business and our taxes are filed together, only the accountant filed for an extension on ours, so they wont go in until June. Hope they are still giving away money then

If you filed online (with direct deposit) but chose to have your filing fee deducted from your return you will get your check by mail. Will take considerably longer.
