Had to fire up the snowblower three times this weekend. Still haveing drifts make their way onto the driveway. Yes im complaining but, would I change anythings. NO! I love it here.
In Lucan, Ontario just north of London, they have about 4' of snow and more to come. A friend says driving is horrible, the berms at the side of the roads are about 6-8' high.
Here we got about 4" of rain and now it's all frozen at -10C or 14F....brrrr
17" where I live...snow removal appeared challenging but MN has been through this before and they handled it well. I learned long ago not to live in Minneapolis / St. Paul as they don't plow and it makes for a miserable experience.
I'm pretty sure I won't be opening my front door until spring as there is about a 6' drift there and even if I tried to shovel it out the snow piles are higher than myself on the sides of my driveway so there would be nowhere to throw it.
I was wheelin around in my chevy 4x4 yesterday and I saw a lot of sleds actually stuck. I don't own a snowmobile but it doesn't seem normal for them to get stuck. Literally I saw about 5 groups of sleds in different spots trying to help a stuck sled out.

We had another dusting today, it's gone but it us pretty cold with a mean wind.
After the record setting storms of last year, I have a feeling we won't get much snow here.
Gotta love diverse climates, here in MD we get blizzards in the winter, and 100 degree+ summer days.
I still love Autumn and the beautiful leaves when they change, it's like nature in high def!

You know it always irks me when were talking about how cold it is and some yahoo comes on and talks about how warm it is, not sure how this figures into this thread but living here in Colorado I feel something is missing in this picture,
Maybe I should go to MN for a couple weeks I bet I would have more fun with the kitty while the boat sleeps!
PS this is today, 60 degrees and we have had a grand total of 6 inches of snow this year so far.
I really don't mind the snow and the cold, but what I do hate, is getting a lot of snow, such as we have already this year, had a couple of feet on the ground, then it has turned warm and raining, so we have a real mess now!!
Snow to me is like visiting a big city. I like to visit it but I wouldn't want to live there. I have a vacation house up in the mountains in northern California. After a week I just can't take it anymore. You guys that live in it all winter have my admiration.
Wouldn't call it good. Been below freezing for days and predicting freezing rain tomorrow. Icy roads in Memphis mean you gotta take a number to run into a ditch.
