Strange Trim up problem...

I was out today and noticed something a little strange...I was in a no wake zone and when I throttled up-started trimming up, the motor cut in and out in conjunction with the trim pump running. I then looked at the volt meter and saw that there was a significant drop in voltage everytime I touched the trim up button. Showed 14v, then when I hit the trim, it would drop to about 9 and the engine would cut...like it was missing. Other than that instance...the motor runs like a top...no hesitation whatsoever. I'm assuming I didn't have this problem when I trimmed down as there isn't as much draw from the trim motor lowering.

Didn't cut the trip to Fremont short...just annoying more than anything else.

Suggestions on where to start?

Thanks!

Sounds like you might have some chafed wires under the throttle/shift handle. The wires are normally wrapped around the handle a turn so the wires move, but sometimes they chafe to bare wires and do all sorts of odd things.
