How crucial is jount delamination in a 1997 boat. just in an area where to stringers come together near the gas tank.It almost looks like a it is a bit crumbly styrofaomy look.
Lets see now - the stringers are what gives structural integrity to the boat. It is difficult to give you advice but as a minimum I would glass over the areas that look like they are delaminating with woven roving and be liberal with the overlap with the hull - - like 6" or so and use plenty of resin.
That would be like, "Hmmm, termites have eaten all the 2x4's in my house, should I be concerned?" Personally, since the thought of my boat falling apart on the water does not thrill me, I'd be concerned.
