While occasionally a stringer does come loose from a hull, its normally from smashing into something at a very high speed, or from poor workmanship. Of the millions of boats made with polyester over the years comparatively few have fallen apart, so its not really something to stress over. It won't really make a difference which one you use, but if you start with one type, use it for the whole project.
