Well after a long day of wrenching, I found 6 out of the 8 engine mount bolts were stripped in my 85 Nova 2. Is there someway I can repair them in a timely manner without wasting the Season? I know I probably need new stringers but I just want to get by for the rest of the season.

85Nova2 =, I have no idea what bolts you are talking about. Picture would be nice. However, most stripped bolt HOLES can be repaired with Heli-Coils. If the bolts them selves are striped, buy new ones. If that doesn't offer what you are looking for, pop up a couple pictures to inform us better what you are dealing with. JMHO

It's the anchor bolts that go through the mount into the hull/stringers.

That is rotten boat parts.

There are easy fixes (wood dowels, epoxy, etc which will fail)
There are good and proper fixes (pulling motor and fiberglass work)
There are NO easy good and proper fixes
