Or are you talking about the propellar. The one that makes the boat go forward and backwards.

The empellar sucks up water and pushes it up to power head.

Good luck!

Im refering to the impellor that is on the water pump.. It seems to be stuck on the shaft and wont come off.How much force should it take?

The impellor is held by a wedge shape key. Grasp the impellor with a pair of chanel lock pliers, and turn the drive shaft counter-clockwise. That will break the bond.

You cant save it anyways, so what ever it takes to get it off. Have you removed the key that holds it in place on the drive shaft.

Try some wd40 around the drive shaft for a few minutes and then try to wriggle it back and forth.

Good luck!

I have had them on so tight that I have had to saw them off with a hacksaw. If you go this route try not to cut into the driveshaft.

If you are good with a cold chisel it is a snap to cut one off. I wouldn't recommend trying though unless you have used a cold chisel before. Don't want to gouge the driveshaft.
All you have to do is split the inner brass part down one side and the impellor will come right off.
