I had an issue this summer where there was no spark at all
Traced the problem to the stator
Changed both cables, checked control box and ignition switch
Once I changed the stator , it ran great for a week and then last weekend I had no spark
at the plugs, I have strong spark off the stator though, just nothing out of the powerpack
I have a new powerpack on order, should be here in a couple of days
I am the second owner on this boat and motor. The original owner took extensive care of the
motor that nothing has been changed on it until now. So I guess after 41 years of service she is
entitled to have a few hiccups.
