Will trying to get the roll pin out of my carb float the two small mounts that hold the roll pin in place broke. I can't find a replacement carb since they are no longer made. A friend of mine who has worked on small engines for over 30years said that if I can't find one that I could JB weld them back in place since they are so small and the pin doesn't move it just holds the pin float in place. Well I did it last night and so far so good. I replaced the old roll pins with new ones and new floats. Just in case this temp. fix doesn't work does anyone know where I can find a replacement bottom carb. Part # is F664061. And is there a difference in the top carb. and the bottom one since they have different part numbers. I don't wont to leave the carb. like this for very long but if I can't find a replacement I guess it will have to do. I have checked EBAY and found a set but the seller lives in Canada and hasn't got back with me to see if he's willing to ship it to the deep south.

Re: Stupid mistake

In that year, top and bottom carbs are the same except for the inlet: bottom has a tee and top has a 90 ell. They are jetted the same and have the same internal venting and all other parts.

However, (Iguess) since they probably come with the inlet tee or ell, they are given a different number.

Later force engine did have different jetting in different carbs on the same engine. You can use a set off almost any early 120 or 125. I have recarbed my chryslers a couple of times with different carbs--just because I had them. For example, a 105 (The one in the avatar) with small WB carbs was recarbed with the big 120 TC carbs

I know that JB is good stuff and advertised as gasoline resistant, but there in constant contact with it, I would be leery. I would prefer installing another carb to this type repair because if it does fail, you will be left on the water. If you are adventurous-----
