Styrofoam Insulation ?

I'm insulating my fish box with syrofoam: I was wondering how much to use? My plan is to use 1" sheets epoxied in place
on the outside of the box. I am debating whether to use an additional 1" on the inside. Can any one tell me how well an inch would do vs 2. inches or none at all? This is a fairly large box, and I intend on fishing for several days at a time. The box has been removed from the boat. If I line the inside as well, I will fair, sand, prime, and paint. There is not enough room to go more than an inch on the outside. I am sure this box will see many fish. 25' center console. Thanks for any advise :) I am very serious about preserving my catch, and not wasting money on ice!

Re: Styrofoam Insulation ?

I would stick to insulating the outside. Foam insulation in direct contact with the water will get ugly pretty quickly; you'll also reduce the capacity of the tank.

Use extruded polystyrene, not expanded.

I would encapsulate it with fabric, and epoxy?
Here is a belated pic.
