Greetings folks! First, I need to thank y'all for all the great reading on the site! I've been lurking about a month reading on topics relevant to my new project / dinosaur.
On to business now... As the screen name states, I have a 1976 Century Raven 200. The plywood deck is pretty well rotted and will be replaced shortly. Before tearing down the deck, I wanted to see if anybody has a clue as to what below the deck is actually structural? There are several vertical plywood partitions fibered into the center of hull to create the (below deck) open top storage boxes. The floor of this storage area also appears to be plywood as well. My goal is to do away with thee opening during the deck replacement?
Are there stringers on the side of the hull where the floor ties in?
Any relevant experience out there w/ this vintage Century boat?
Thanks in advance for the feedback!
Best Regards,
JPM
