Sudden oil consumption

Hi, I have a 2001 2-stroke mercury 150 saltwater series motor. To begin the season the boat was going through the "normal" amount of oil, but recently it has been guzzling it down. I would say every hour or two of use I'm adding about a quart of oil. I cant find any leaks anywhere, and the motor isn't smoking more than normal. My temperature reading is also normal (not sure if this is applicable). Any ideas where to start?

Don’t know if you particular motor has the two oil tanks.

If so, I would check the hose running from the remote to the tank on the motor.

one (1) quart of oil per hour is 12.5 gallons of fuel per hour. Pretty believable fuel consumption considering a 150 Hp outboard

Thanks I’ll definitely look into that. Maybe it was burning that much before but now the alarm is broken so it sets off the alarm much quicker? I’ll look into what you mentioned first

Yes, I will admit, I’m a moron. The boat is new to me this year, I used it for many many hours with no oil alarms. Suddenly the alarm would go off every time I went out even if I added oil immediately before I went out. Little did I know the tiny oil reservoir attached to the engine is only a tiny oil reservoir, and there is a very large reservoir in the bilge area. 😑 thanks for the help, I apologize for my idiocy.
