I whant a good, reliable induction self powered tachometer.

- for use when testing/adjusting outboard motors or other small engines and small 2 oor 4 strokes vehicles.

- for bring whit me for testings outboards on the lake.

-For RPM up to 12 000 or more.

-Sefl powered , no wires on 12 volts.

-Need to be adjustable for diff?rents ignition/cycles/strokes

I have this one, that have all the features i whant.......... Exept it's unreliable and always run erraticcaly :

Hardline Hour/Tachs are excellent products, doesn't need a ground wire as other brands. Compact. All induction tachs are bit erratical while reading idle RPM, will read correct when more throttle is given. Excellent for prop maximizations.

Know the Company well. Have great electronic testers to troubleshoot outboards too. A real + for hour/tach being battery replaceble, no ground wire required and multi firing sequence programming.. Excellent purchase.

The only down side I see is that pick up cable is attached to right side of meter, good for reading while tillering port side, for starboard side reading, cable will need to make a U turn instead running straight on tiller as in other brands models in which pick up cable is left hand attached.
