Re: suggestions for repair of prior hull damage repair
Okay guys, taking everyone's opinions into consideration and given the fact that my son is probably wanting to fish out of a boat as soon as possible as the whole purpose is to have a boat he can use to fish in his newly formed high school bass fishing team-wish they had one when I was in school-and also given the time and money involved in fixing correctly the one shown above, I wanted to get some more opinions. I have a boat that would suit him, but it is currently being rehabbed for cosmetic reasons, but I'm sure he would rather have one to call his own right now and for future use as well. Obviously, we were trying to make the best of what had been presented to us thus far. This may be a no-brainer, but this is what I have located within a 2 hours drive-1989 18 ft. BassHawk 181XL-boat only for $800-maybe less. Should this 18ft boat work with my current trailer which holds the 168V(16'8"????)-it should as there is about 6" left on the rear of the bunk boards and about 12" left to move the front winch closer to the tongue of the trailer and would the 120V4 Evinrude power this 18 footer sufficiently?
