I agree. Kid Rock wearing the flag didnt sit well with me. And some people try to argue with me about why I DON'T watch sports anymore! Sounds like Sunday's game proved my point.<br />As usual, it was targeted at sex and alcohol.<br />I didn't watch the game, and as usual it sounds like I didn't miss anything.<br /><br />And so what if she exposed herself purposely or not? It's not like you don't see that sort of thing on regular tv already? <br />Take a look at the Disney channel sometime. Look at the tight fitting, practically see-thu clothes the young teens are wearing and tell me it's not targeted to be sexual?<br />And then there's all the ads for erectile dysfunction and feminine hygiene. You don't hear them complaining about that do you?<br />Those commercials make me sick.<br /><br />Janet Jackson is all over the news. They are treating it like some kind of national crime. One of the best football games I've ever seen.<br /><br />Those who produced the half-time show should be ashamed of themselves!<br /><br />Most repulsive half-time show in NFL history!<br /><br />If this is what the federal monies to support the arts is used for, then those monies should be more wisely spent on more important issues, like homeland security!

As it turns out, she had some sort of "nipple shield" on (piercing jewelry).<br />In theory really, so long as the nipple is covered, the envelope has been pushed for years. Cleavage (exposed breasts anyway you look at it/them) is an everyday thing thats accepted everywhere. Even in business. Bikinis are basically nipple covers nowadays...<br />Singer Lil' Kim wore are outfit a few years back to a music awards ceremony that on one side had a sticker that just covered her nipple. I really don't see what the big deal was. <br />This has gotten way more hype than deserved, and I think it was planned by Ms Jackson. Its been replayed over and over on the news. They even played an unedited version during the dinner hour.<br />Dare I say IMHO-she did this to try and deflect some of the spotlight away from her older brother at a time of crisis in his life????????

If she did Toad, it was a dumb move. The Jackson's already have a major black eye and all this did was tee off a lot more people and keep the name in the news...<br /><br />Again, it is all about expectations of appropriate behavior. That sort of stiff isn't expected or appropriate for a show watched and targeted at families. For music awards and such, you expect that sort thing and can make an informed decision about viewing.<br /><br />I hope the CBS/Viacom execs can the whole top echelon at MTV to send a message.

What really roasts me is that everyone is talking about the halftime, the commercials and all the other baloney, and hardly anyone is talking about how awesome the game was This superbowl isn't going to be remembered for the play on the field, it's gonna be remembered for Janet flashing the world. That has got to torque the NFL's nads, I know it does mine.
