I have a 2002 115hp 4 stroke suzuki that has been running fine until recently. The pinion gear on top of the starter goes back up when the throttle in is neutral. The motor always starts fine and when it first starts the pinion gear goes back down but after a few seconds it goes back up and grinds really bad on the flywheel. When I put the throttle into gear it goes back down into place. I have heard to replace the solenoid or to check the wires in the throttle at the neutral switch.
