Have '03 140 suzuki bought new in 2003 with 100 hours on it. Did proper break in, dealer did 20 hour service, ran flawlessly to 100 hours, brought it in for 100 hour service at dealer, now there's an dead short somewhere. Motor spins but won't catch Fuel is OK, Batteries are OK, wierdest thing is when you hit the trim switch (either on throttle or on engine) the motor will run for a second or two, then die. I isolated the trim wires thinking dead short, then all the motor does is turn over w/out catching. It's back at the dealer, who didn't think it was HIS problem (warranty issue) until it backfired while he was trying to crank it. He was immediately converted by that. He said he's never heard a Suzuki 4-stroke do that. Any suggestions/ comments?
