Suzuki 1988 DT 65 Parts/ serial #

Have a nice DT 65 06502-807407.To order a part, specifically the dust shield for the shift rod, I need to know the motor serial number. Where can I find the serial number.

Thanks for the response 99yam40. The parts list, referring to the shift rod dust seal, shows two part numbers and they refer to serial numbers 462111 & older and 462112 & newer. I don't see any serial number on this motor. The number you have suggested is the model/year number and that I have.

did you notice that 06502-807173 is listed under the Starting serial # column
It is the serial #
looks like they made the design change mid 1994 year model

your 1988 is before 1994
