I have a 2000 suzuki 225hp outboard. It has a crack where the prop attaches and goes forward about two inches. My question is whether I can do a JB weld for a quick fix that hopefully will hold for a year?
Alternatively, if I do not fix the problem, will it eventually just harm the lower unit? or will it harm the entire engine?
How much would it cost to replace the just the lower unit?
Given where the crack is, it seems like a JB weld might hold? and if not, it will just harm the lower unit, which I will have to replace anyway?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
