suzuki 55

[fish don't fear me]

i have an old 3 cylinder suzuki 55 hp and ran great til one day it sputtered while crosssing the lake. we fished for a bit then it would not start, towed it in and later changed fuel pump, still doesnt start. i fouind that priming the cylinder with fuel starts er up real good and runs real good and warm starts real good, i cannot cold start this engine. any tips?

Clean that fuel filter and make sure your primer bulb is working correctly.

also when i prime with the primebulb and open the bottom of the carbs to purge old gas out this seems to help, to me it seems like there is no choke action, perhaps cleaning the carb would unstick the choke mechanism?
