The motor is a 2001 modell bought in norway, i bought it from a marina in parts. The motor had run great untill the 5 year where the engine started to leak oil an water intrusians was detected early luckely. after that the engine was flushed with oil/water removing before i bought it this december to rebuild it with new gaskets and seals around the proshaft what do call that in the states by the way???

Here comes the problem on my testdrive about 1.5 hours in freshwater the oil went white like milk but the oil level was not noticeable higher than before the trip. Im am quite frustrated about it and i dont know where to begin. I would be where pleased with help and i return i shall post untill the problem is solved.

My english arent great so bear with me please.

Geir.

Your English is very good and much better than some of the folks that live in this country. Water in the oil can come from a number of places but a cylinder head gasket, cracked engine block or head, head bolts that did not have sealant applied to them are common causes. The head bolts need to have sealer on the threads if any of them protrude into the water jacket of the engine. I don't know if that applies to the suzuki.

Dear Geir,

I have the same problem with my DF50.
Did you have found the solution ?
The oil is mixed with water, and now, the oil leak by the Breather Hose.

Could you help me ?

In advance many thanks.

It would be better to start a new thread than to hijack an old one, ljobey.
