I just bought a 2002 suzuki df140 and a new boat. I bought the boat knowing that the engine mount was corroded and needed to be replaced. I loved the boat and got a great deal on the boat. Here is my issue. The engine mount was not fully broken yet so i tried to take it out on my Palm Beach 205. I had a full tank of gas(87 gallons) and four people on board. The boat had a warning light flashign that said check engine only when the motor hood was on. If it was off the alarm did not sound. I concluded that the exhasut was chocking the motor and decded to try and go for a short try just to check the rest of the motor functionally(rps going to where they should, etc.) with the hood off. No alarms were sounding during the short ride.
Here are Some pics of the same exact motor with the same exact corrsoion issues.
Here is where the engine mount is on the motor (See attached).

My question is how much should I expect to pay for the repair to the engine mount. I would ahve to remove the powerhead and the lower end, replace the the engine mount and reassemble. I read online to expect 4-5 hours of labor; does this sound reasonable? With this fixed should the boat have any issues coming to a plane(2500lb boat). What kind of speed should I expect out of this thing. Just bought the boat and motor. Motor has around 500 hours on it. Sorry for the thousand questions.
