The trim toggle on one of my throttles is not working in the up direction. Down works fine and the toggle switch on the engine works in both directions. Is it hard to take apart the throttle and repair it myself?

Also, a small black tube that runs into the lower unit is not connected. I think it is the pitot tube. If so, I do not needed it as I don't have a MPH guage, but will it damage the engine if disconnected? Can I just leave the tube dangling? Thanks,

Ken

Re: Suzuki DF140 questions

You mention "one of my throttles", does that mean you have twins? If so, it could be in the switch on the base that changes from dual to individual trim controls. Mine got water in it and would only work on the port side. The switch was $86.00 plus installation.

The tube should be no problem.

The binnacle style throttle is fairly easy to remove, and then you can get to the wire harness for the switches.
