Suzuki df200ap 2021 outboard thermostat

OEM thermostat was corroded and rotted out after 60 hours of use in saltwater installed in 4-01-25. what do you think cause is - never had that problem I replace thermostat every season

do you ever flush with fresh water after running in salt?

yes, flush for 15 minutes after each use and once a month use the salt away attachment with hose.

is that with motor running to get the stat open and fresh water circulating thru the open stat?

Was it OEM? Just saying, that cheap China junk is out there..
