Weird question.
Anybody replace the foam lining inside the motor cover on an older Suzuki (1987 DT30)?
I guess the foam was to deaden the sound. It would be nice if the engine ran a little quieter (when it's running).
Mine is deteriorating and little bits are falling down inside the motor.
What kind of foam did you use and what kind of adhesive?
I checked around and West Marine only has the foam for inboards with the aluminum cover.
My fear is that regular foam might catch on fire?
Any sources or ideas appreciated.
thanks
Rob
