Suzuki DT30C Year ID From Serial# ?

HI I have a Suzuki DT30c with low compression in one cylinder - I need a manual but first need to figure out what year it is serial # is 03003 906948 - can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.

Your engine is a 1989.

I show 89 as well. Low compression? Could be several problems, but I would suspect a cracked cylinder. Do the other cylinders have good compression within 5-9 lbs of each other? Can you run out of the water to see if the discharge is contaminated?

Thanks everyone - 98 it must be - havent seen anything in the watre discharge to indicate major probs - compression is 65 112 111 - spot the odd one out heehe broken rings and scored bore have been about the worst case scenarios I have heard - but everyoen I taked to says it is worth fixing so I'm going to buy the manula online - take a deep breath and remove the head - I mean what could go wrong ..gulp!! Seriously thanks for all your help !
