Suzuki DT40 Lower Unit HELP

I am trying to figure out the year of my outboard so I can get the right lower unit/parts.<br />The model is a Suzuki DT40K<br />The serial number is 4002-605316<br />I think it might be a Japanese version as browns point marine doesn't seem to recognise this serial number. When I look through their pdf parts manuals my engine looks like it could be 1983-1985.<br />This engine runs on both Kerosene and a gas/oil mix in seperate tanks. It starts on petrol and switches over to kerosene in higher revs.<br />The lower unit of my engine got screwed up by sea water getting in (old seals etc). Any help I can get on parts suppliers for this. Maybe a used lower unit. Is it possible to get the whole lower unit assembly, gears, bearings etc as everything inside there looks bad and rusted?<br />Would sending a photograph help in identifying my engine?<br /><br />Please help.<br /><br />Thanks, Albert
