I'm trying to estimate fuel consumption/mpg for a 225 on 22' Triton 228 CC. I like to cruise @ 4000rpm , 24.6 knots (via GPS). Don't know my mpg or gph at that rpm. How much less gph if I cruised at 3500rpm? Your estimates of fuel burn would be appreciated. I realize that if I filled tank, ran and then topped off I could estimate fuel used, but at over $4.00/gal I'm not about to fill 90 gal. tank!! Besides I don't need to carry around that extra weight. Thanks for your input.
