ok so i have a 15' sundance with what was a great running tohatsu m60B the gear ratio in the lower was 1.62:1
the prop was a 14p stainless cupped power tech and loaded down it would turn the max reccomended rpm of 5600 (it banged the rev limiter unloaded)
my question is this:
im getting a 60 etec to replace it and the lower unit ratio is different (2.67:1 max rpm 6000) if i take the old WOT rpm and divide by the gear ratio and multiply that number by the pitch divide by and divide by 12 i come up with about 3159 feet per minute can i use this number as a target for the new prop???
im thinking the 17p rogue 4 blade will get me back in the same range as the old prop on the M60B doing my earlier math i came up with 3189 feet per minute
does this seem right or ??
