Swapping Lower Unit 50 hp Force

Hello, I have a 1989 50hp Force Outoard. Im needing to know it the lower unit from a 1988 50 hp Force will fit my 89? If so i have somewhere i can get one for cheap, but just making sure the parts will swap over to my Outboard before I buy it.

Did you find that to be true? I have a 90 and supposedly 89-90 is same, but not 88, based on my research.

Acording do the parts ook?? the 89-94 most will swap.
Im suprised the 88 won't?????
I'd bet it would work.
74-88 are the same.
