Multi warning system, LOL, You might want to add about 15 other items to your warning system. They should include:
Ladder, blower, anchor, trolling motor, fish basket, and just about everything else that needs to be checked before powering up. These are just the short list of things I have seen others forget. And yes, I have forgot every single one of these things too.

Never seen a ladder mounted where it could come in contact with the props, all my ladders were off to one side.

Twin I/O's with Bravo 3 outdrives . . . no real good place to put a ladder so that it is out of the way . . . maybe an extended swim platform would get it far enough out . . . maybe.

So, some good ideas here, which I will work up into a plan for a warning system of some sort.

I drive with my ladder down half the time anyways.

I've been thinking and we have all been making this too hard... fold the ladder up and tie 80 lb test fishing line to the bottom rung.... run that line to the key in the ignition and tie it with very little slack.... NOW when the ladder is down the key won't reach the ignition....
