SX-M trim sender. Stupid me

Long story short. I had my trim sender off and for some stupid reason. Turned the nut on the backside a few times. Now my sender is out to lunch. It was working fine before doing this. If someone can advise on how to get it back in synch would be appreciated. Is there marks to line up? Thanks for any help

There is a procedure using an ohm meter to position it. I think I would try bringing the drive to the bottom, and rotate the sender (with the key on) till the gauge matches the drive. Dave-R
