Sylvan 14Ft Sea Snapper Rowboat Deck

I would like to install a deck in my 14ft rowboat.

My question is: Can I safely remove the middle bench seat (riveted), leaving the back and front benchseats for side support (3 benchseat)?

The goal here is to open up the middle of the boat.

Ayuh,... I wouldn't,... It'll fold up, without the support of the seat...

Bondo: Thanks. That is what I am afraid of.

I guess I'll just construct a frame out of aluminum stock and go between the bench seats.
