Tried to remove the cylinder cap to rebuild my original 1992 trim cylinder last night. Managed to get about 1/4" movement then no more. I did accomplish bending the heck out of the new pin wrench I just bought. I'm going to try PB Blaster on it for a couple days then apply some heat before trying again - any other suggestions ?

I used an air hammer and an angle chisel in 1 of 4 holes to get my 1998 tilt ram cap off. I found a you tube video showing this method.

Air hammer method. It did mess up one of the pin holes but it did come off.
