T9.9 extra long shaft outboard impeller replacement

On the extra long 25" shaft version of the T9.9 there is a spacer of about 2.75" on the top of the lower unit. To remove the water pump housing this must also be removed. It seems firmly attached but I don't see any bolts. Any trick to removing this?

Thanks. It's a late model T99XEHB ...the part is a just a shaft extension casting. It has a pair of alignment pins top and bottom. If anyone comes across this with the same question be mindful of these pins so they don't fall out and get lost.

Assuming it was just stuck with factory paint I clamped the extension between two large boards, applied some force, and gave it a tap with a short section of 4x4. It gently sprung loose and the rest of the impeller replacement went smoothly.
